Amjum Rizve

Amjum Rizve is a Mysore-based artist whose work draws from personal experiences and is deeply influenced by Persian and Mughal miniature traditions. A graduate of Trivandrum Fine Arts College and Chamarajendra Academy of Visual Arts, his intricate, narrative-driven works blend mythology, religion, literature, and textile motifs from Eastern and Western. art histories. Amjum’s recent exhibitions include *IDAM* (Kochi-Muziris Biennale, 2023), *Lokame Tharavadu* (2022), and shows at Bikaner House, Gallery Dotwalk, and the State Gallery of Art, Hyderabad. His richly detailed compositions explore socio-political themes through fantastical, decorative imagery.
